“Reflections on America and the World in the Trump Era,” with The Atlantic Editor in Chief Jeffrey Goldberg, will be hosted at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
The event is presented by the David H. Bernstein Forum, launched in fall 2017 to recognize the businessman and philanthropist for his tremendous support of the school and passion for the field of international relations.

About the Speaker
Jeffrey Goldberg is the editor in chief of The Atlantic. Goldberg previously served as a national correspondent for the magazine. He has also served as Washington correspondent and Middle East correspondent for The New Yorker. He is a recipient of numerous journalism prizes, including the National Magazine Award for Reporting and the Daniel Pearl Prize. Goldberg has interviewed several heads of state including U.S. Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Jordan’s King Abdullah II. His reporting has taken him to Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria, and Lebanon. Goldberg has been a Distinguished Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and a Fellow of the American Academy in Berlin. He began his career at The Washington Post, and later served as a foreign correspondent for The New York Times Magazine. He is author of “Prisoners: A Story of Friendship and Terror.”
