Environment and Climate Career Trek Highlights Focus on Student Success

Johns Hopkins SAIS students looking to pursue careers in environment and climate issues met and networked with experienced hands in these fields during a career trek on November 11, 2022.

HNC-in-the-World Initiative Goes to Southeast Asia

The second experiential learning trip of the “HNC-in-the-World” initiative went to Southeast Asia during fall break. A total of 19 HNC students, along with Professor David Arase and Co-Director Adam Webb, participated. The group spent time in both Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Diversity Week 2022

Johns Hopkins SAIS celebrated its 5th annual Diversity Week from October 10-14th, hosted by Student Affairs, Global Careers, Office of Admissions, Black Student Union (BSU), Global Women in Leadership (GWL), SAIS Africa Club, SAIS Caucasus and Central Asia Club, Student Government Association, and the Office of Marketing and Communications and Community Engagement. Global Careers and SAIS Pride sponsored the Pride Pledge signing.

SAIS Europe’s Third Annual Staff Ride to Salerno and Monte Cassino

During the first week of April, 26 SAIS Europe students traveled to southern Italy to conduct a staff ride focusing on the Italian Campaign during World War II.

Resumption of International Staff Rides: Pearl Harbor ISR 2022

Over Spring Break, 41 SAIS students and faculty traveled to Hawaii to conduct a staff ride to study the attack on Pearl Harbor. A staff ride is an immersive, experiential study of a military battle or campaign.

Diversity Week 2021

Johns Hopkins SAIS celebrated its fourth annual Diversity Week Oct. 4-8th through a series of virtual and in-person events hosted by the Diversity Council, Office of Marketing, Communications and Community Engagement, Office of Admissions, Global Careers, SAIS Women Lead, Student Diversity Coalition (SDC), Black Student Union (BSU), SAIS Pride, and Global Women in Leadership (GWIL).
