Chinese Ambassador Zhou Wenzhong to Speak at JHU SAIS

Zhou Wenzhong, the Chinese ambassador to the United States, will speak at the Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) on Wednesday, 03/28 at 5:15 p.m.

Zhou will speak about *U.S.-China Relations in the Context of Peaceful Development.* He will address the U.S.-China relationship in the context of China*s internal efforts to promote harmony and external efforts to promote peaceful development. Zhou*s remarks will take place following the recent session of the National People*s Congress in Beijing and U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson*s trip to China. In addition, a new U.S. Congress has turned its attentions toward the bilateral relationship in the midst of a mounting presidential campaign.

The session, which is open to the public, will be held in the Kenney Auditorium of the school*s Nitze Building, located at 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. Members of the public should RSVP to the SAIS China Studies Program at [email protected] or 202.663.5816.
