CNN Anchor Wolf Blitzer to Speak at JHU SAIS Commencement

CNN Anchor Wolf Blitzer will speak at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) commencement on Thursday, 05/23 at 3 p.m.

Blitzer, a 1972 SAIS graduate whose journalism career spans nearly three decades, joined CNN in 1990 as a military affairs correspondent based at the Pentagon. From 1992 to 1999, he served as CNN's senior White House correspondent. For his coverage, he has received the American Journalism Review's Best in the Business Award and an Emmy Award. Blitzer currently anchors CNN's nightly "Wolf Blitzer Reports" and "Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer" on Sundays.

Admittance to the ceremony is by invitation only but will be open to the media for coverage. Graduation will be held in DAR Constitution Hall, 18th and D Streets, N.W., Washington, D.C. Media should use the 18th Street entrance to the hall. Reserved seating for reporters will be available in balcony tiers L/M directly facing the stage.

SAIS is one of the country's leading graduate schools devoted to the study of international relations. Located along Embassy Row in Washington's Dupont Circle area, the school enrolls approximately 480 full-time graduate students and mid-career professionals and has trained more than 10,000 alumni in all aspects of international affairs. During the graduation ceremony, SAIS will confer graduate degrees upon more than 400 students.
