JHU SAIS to Host Forum on Georgian Elections

The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a forum, "Georgia's Local Elections: Breakthrough to Democracy or to Chaos?" on Monday, 06/24 at 5 p.m.

Panelists for this event, sponsored by the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute (CACI) at SAIS, include:

· Giorgi Sekniashvili, deputy project director for IFES' elections assistance program in Georgia

· Paul Fagan, program officer for Azerbaijan and Georgia at the International Republican Institute

· Irakly Areshidze, visiting scholar at CACI at SAIS

The event, free and open to the public, will be held in Rome Auditorium located on the first floor of the school's Rome Building, 1619 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. Members of the public should RSVP to 202.663.7721 or [email protected].
