JHU SAIS to Host Annual Washington Energy Policy Conference

The Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a one-day conference, "Higher Energy Prices: New Paradigms and Policy Responses," on Tuesday, 04/26 from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The National Capital Area Chapter of the U.S. Association for Energy Economics (USAEE) is co-sponsoring the event with the SAIS International Energy and Environment Program.

Gary Vasey, vice president of Utilipoint International, will give the keynote lunch address at 1 p.m. on "Energy Futures Markets and Hedge Funds." Expert speakers from industry, government, consulting firms and academia will speak throughout the day in the following panel sessions:

3:30 p.m. "Policy Responses: Is Price Transparency Sufficient for Technology Deployment?"
