Foreign Minister of Afghanistan to Speak at JHU SAIS

Abdullah Abdullah, foreign minister of Afghanistan, will speak at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) on Tuesday, 01/29 at 1 p.m.

His lecture topic will be the current state of affairs in Afghanistan.

In the latter part of 2001, Abdullah emerged as one of the main spokesman for the Northern Alliance. As foreign minister, he has been a pivotal figure in the many diplomatic talks on Afghanistan's future.

The event, which is open to the public, will be held in the Kenney Auditorium of the Nitze Building, located at 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., in Washington, D.C. Members of the public should RSVP to the SAIS Central Asia-Caucasus Institute at 202.663.7721 or [email protected].
