Stafford Loan Interest Rates Effective July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2011 6.80% Fixed - In School, Grace Period, and Deferment
Effective July 1, 2006 a graduate or professional student may be eligible to borrow the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS loan. Direct lending will determine the student's credit worthiness during the pre-approval process.
Federal Direct Grad PLUS Loans first disbursed on or after July 1, 2008 will have a fixed rate of 7.9%. The origination/default fee is 4% and will be deducted from each disbursement of the loan.
