Parking is limited at DAR Consitution Hall and graduates and guests are encouraged to use the Metro or cabs for transportation. 2:00 pm - Doors open to guests and students line up 3:00 pm - Commencement Ceremony Please note that doors to DAR will close about 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. 5:30 pm (Immediately following the ceremony) - Reception at SAIS, 1740 Massachusetts Avenue, NW

Important Deadlines for Graduates
Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 The deadline to submit the Application to Graduate was October 31st, 2007. This is required of all graduating students.
Thursday, November 1st - Sunday, April 1st, 2008 Students who are walking in the graduation cermony must purchase a cap and gown from Herff Jones unless they are a member of the Armed Services, and choose to wear their uniform. Students may place their order for a cap and gown online until Sunday, April 1st. Orders placed after this date will be charged an additional $30 late fee. Students may also purchase graduation announcements, thank you notes, and other memorabilia through this website.
Wednesday, January 23rd and Thursday, January 24th, 2008 11:30 am - 2:30 pm, Nitze Lobby Herff Jones representatives will be on campus to help students order their caps and gowns, if they have not done so already online.
Wednesday, April 16th, 9:30 am - 1:00 pm and Thursday, April 17th, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Nitze 202 Ticket and invitation pick up Monday, May 12th and Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 11:30 - 2:30 pm, Herter Room Cap & Gown distribution All students who are walking must pick up their caps and gowns at this time. If you did not order your regalia by the deadline, you can rent your cap and gown during distribution (please note that you will be charged a $30 late fee and must pay with cash or check). Students will also have the opportunity to pick up tickets and invitations during distribution.
Thursday, May 1st, 2008 Deadline to inform the Office of Student Life of change in plans to participate in graduation Students indicated on their application to graduate if they would or would not participate in the graduation ceremony. If your plans have changed, you must inform the Office of Student Life at sjankowsky@jhu.edu by May 1st.
Thursday, May 22nd, 2008 9:15 am All SAIS students are invited to attend the university-wide commencement ceremony in Baltimore and must provide their own transportation to the Homewood campus. Please indicate that you plan to attend this ceremony when you submit your Application to Graduate webform. The JHU graduation ceremony will begin at 9:15 am (students must line-up by 8:45 am).
