U.S. Student Fulbright Program 2012-2013 SAIS students and alumni are encouraged to apply for Fulbright grants. Current students must apply through the SAIS Fulbright Program Adviser, Lisa Kahn, who is available to provide feedback on application materials and help connect you with SAIS faculty who have expertise in your area of interest. Alumni are welcome to apply through SAIS, but are not required. The SAIS deadline to submit Fulbright applications is Friday, September 23, 2011. All applicants must submit the following materials online no later than this date. Materials will be reviewed by the SAIS Fulbright Program Advisor, Lisa Kahn, as well as the faculty who are identified for the campus committee interview. - Application Basic Data form

- Letter of Affiliation (not required but strongly recommended)
- Personal Statement
- Foreign Language Background Report (if applicable)
- Foreign Language Evaluation (for all countries where English is not the official language)

- Additional Transcripts (from all of the institutions you have attended)
SAIS students who submit completed applications for the Fulbright will be scheduled for a 20-minute interview with two faculty members. The interview will take place between approximately September 27 and October 10. A campus committee evaluation will be included with your application. Final revisions to the application must be completed by Monday, October 17, at 5 p.m. (Eastern time). The Fulbright online application system closes at this time.
