Net Impact | Overview

The SAIS Net Impact club is a student-run, career-oriented chapter of the broader Net Impact non-profit organization that seeks to inspire, educate, and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world. This particular chapter focuses its attention around key innovative topics in development, such as, but not limited to, Social Investment, Microfinance, Corporate Social Responsibility [CSR], Small and Medium Enterprise Development and Base-of-the-Pyramid [BoP] business strategies. To best educate the community on these topics, we organize interactive and intimate events with leading practitioners throughout the year and partner with other SAIS clubs to offer consulting services to relevant organizations.

This club is for any SAIS student of any background who has a general interest in these fields. The activities of the club are designed to expose students to ways in which they can apply their diverse in a number of different fields within these topics.  These include opportunities that extend beyond a traditional emphasis on finance and accounting to include opportunities in - technology, monitoring and evaluation, training, product development, investment, social research and many other related fields. skill-sets

This website is intended for students and employers, as well as organizations that focus on our key topics as a primary activity or in a supportive capacity.  Students can find information on our upcoming events, as well as documents and links to assist you in your job search.  Employers may contact the president to set up site visits or to advertise job openings on our webpage and through SAIS Career Services.  Organizations that relate to the above fields and interested in partnering with the club on specific projects are also welcome to contact the president with requests.
