Forum Description Soldiers, diplomats and development practitioners alike are increasingly adopting multidimensional approaches to complex conflicts rooted in security problems, development shortcomings and governance failures. As state-building, post-conflict reconstruction and stabilization of fragile states draw increasing international attention and engagement, it's worth stepping back and asking several basic questions. How do security, development and conflict managment interrelate? How do they reinforce one another in tackling increasingly complex conflicts and governance challenges? What are the advantages to an integrated approach? The Global Security and Conflict Managment Club at SAIS aims to provide opportunities for students to answer these questions and learn about the intersections of security, development and conflict managment.
