The SAIS Consulting Club is a student organization dedicated to helping SAIS students explore and find careers in consulting. The club seeks to provide meaningful activities and events to the broader SAIS community by thinking of consulting not as an industry, but as a professional skill set whose utility extends far beyond the specific profession. To this end, the club explores not just careers in traditional management consulting, but also careers in government, the social sector, political risk assessment, energy reform, and development. Among the services the club provides are: - luncheons with business, government, and non-profit leaders
- educational panels on cutting issues
- case interview workshops
- career treks to companies and organizations in New York and DC
Additionally, the Consulting Club enhances the education and contribution of its members by offering semester-long consulting opportunities with both domestic and international businesses and non-profits. In 2009, the SAIS Consulting Club was awarded the “SAIS Career Club Leadership Award” for its events, contributions to the SAIS community, and volunteer consulting activities. In the remaining pages, you will find information on these past activities as well as direction on how to prepare for the broader professional practice of consulting.
