SAIS does not provide housing for students. However, suggestions for finding housing in the Washington, D.C. area are listed
here. SAIS also maintains an internal housing board that lists summer sublets and year-round housing opportunities. It is recommended that Pre-Term students secure housing in Washington prior to the start of the program.
Insurance
Incoming students should note that the University Student Health Insurance Plan will not provide coverage until August 15, 2013. Pre-Term students are therefore responsible for finding and/or maintaining their own health insurance coverage until that date. Click
here for more information about health insurance requirements.
