Proficiency Exams

Japanese Language Program Proficiency Exams

Proficiency exams are generally administered the week before the beginning of language classes and during the last week of language classes in the Spring and Fall semesters.

Students are eligible to take the proficiency exams if:

  1. They clear 4 levels of Japanese in the placement exams.
  2. They completed 4th level of course work here at SAIS.
