In addition SAIS benefits from many Adjunct Professors in economics. The Adjunct Professors are experienced teachers as well as current and retired practitioners. Many adjunct faculty hold senior positions in various institutions, including the Federal Reserve Board, The World Bank, and The International Monetary Fund. A special advantage of the Washington location is that SAIS can call on the services of many highly qualified Adjunct Professors, making possible extensive course offerings in the economics area.
