Indonesian Language Program Registration and Placement Exams
Returning students from SAIS Indonesian program can register online without taking any placement exam. All other students please follow the instructions below.
New students with no background in Indonesian should register in Indonesian novice low (911.710.01).
Placement exams
All new students with background in Indonesian need to take the Indonesian placement exams in order to be placed in a class.
The Indonesian placement exams consist of two parts:
1. written exam. It includes reading & vocabulary, grammar, and writing.
2. oral interview. Students are required to take the written exam prior to meeting for their oral interview.
