Proficiency Exams

Indonesian Language Program Proficiency Exams

Proficiency exams are administered on the week before the beginning of language classes in Spring and Fall semester, and also on the week before the beginning of reading period in Spring semester.

In order to be eligible to take the proficiency exams, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Students must be enrolled or have completed the fourth semester of Indonesian language instructions; or
  • Students need to score 95% or more in the placement exams.

Steps to Take before taking the Proficiency Exam

  1. First, make sure you are eligible to take the exams.
  2. If you are eligible, inform the Coordinator of Southeast Asian Languages Program.
  3. Please bring an ID to the exams. You will need to show up 15 minutes before your oral exam.
