M.I.P.P. | Introduction

Welcome to the SAIS Master of International Public Policy (M.I.P.P.) information pages. The M.I.P.P. is intended for mid-career professionals in international fields who have at least nine years of work experience. The program offers one-year of full-time study or two years of part-time study in international relations, international economics or some combination of the sub-fields of these disciplines.

SAIS provides mid-career students with a unique opportunity to design an individual program of study to meet their needs. Mid-career students have unprecedented access to all graduate courses and faculty at SAIS and participate in all facets of campus life.

M.I.P.P. students are typically on educational leave from employment as diplomats, members of the military, business executives or journalists. Many are sponsored by their employers. Other M.I.P.P. candidates have completed the degree between employment positions.
