Governor Ed Rendell During Democratic National Convention The Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and the Financial Times will co-host forums in Denver featuring Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell on Tuesday, August 26 and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright on Thursday, August 28. The events are hosted jointly by the SAIS Center on Politics and Foreign Relations (CPFR), the Johns Hopkins University Center for the Study of American Government and the Financial Times. The Tuesday, August 26 session will take place at 8:30 a.m. and will feature a discussion on “A View of the Election.” Ed Rendell, Democratic governor of Pennsylvania, will provide the keynote remarks. Chrystia Freeland, U.S. managing editor of the Financial Times, and Robert Guttman, CPFR director, will moderate the discussion.
The Thursday, August 28 session will take place at 8 a.m. and will feature a discussion on “Foreign Policy and the Election.” Madeleine Albright, former Secretary of State and a SAIS alumna, will provide the keynote remarks. Lionel Barber, editor of the Financial Times, and Robert Guttman, CPFR director, will moderate the discussion.
Both forums will be held at the Denver Press Club located at 1330 Glenarm Place. Admittance to these events is by invitation only. However, the forums are open to the media for coverage.
