Kyrgyz Official to Speak at JHU SAIS

Ishenbay Abdurazzakov, Kyrgyzstan's State Secretary, will speak at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) on Thursday, 11/19/1998, at 1 p.m.

Mr. Abdurazzakov holds the position in the Kyrgyz government equivalent to the U.S. National Security Advisor. His lecture topic will be "Kyrgyz President Akaev, the Silk Road, and the United States Congress."

Andrew Semmel, Senator Richard Lugar's legislative assistant for foreign policy, also will participate in the program.

The lecture, sponsored by the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute at SAIS, will be held in the Herter Room, located on the first floor of the Nitze Building, 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C.
