Matthew J. Eichner is currently Deputy Director in the Division of Research and Statistics at the Federal Reserve Board, where he focuses on issues related to securities markets and dealers in securities and derivatives.  Prior to joining the Board staff, Matt was an Assistant Director in the Division of Trading and Markets at the Securities and Exchange Commission.  Previously, he was Assistant Professor of Finance and Economics at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.  He holds a Ph.D. in economics from MIT, a Masters of Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and was awarded a CFA Charter.
