Most of the JHU Libraries' electronic resources are available off-campus (via "remote access") to current JHU affiliates (students, staff and faculty).
Before you begin, have your Johns Hopkins Enterprise Directory Login ID and password. If you've never logged in before, go to my.jhu.edu (via an on-campus computer), and click on "First-time Logging In?" That link will prompt you to create a password.
How does off-campus access work? Just click on a link to a database via the Library's website and you'll be directed to the JHED login screen. Enter your JHED ID and password to get into the resource of your choice. That's all you have to do! NOTE: If you get a Permission Denied page after trying to access databases with your JHED ID / password, go to my.jhu.edu and sign in with your login id and password. Click on the “My Jhed” tab. In the section headed “JHED functions,” click on “change MyInfo." If it is not already set to "SAIS Campus," change your "Primary Campus" to "SAIS Campus" and save your settings. Alternate method: JHConnect: JHConnect provides access to Hopkins applications when you are not on campus. In order to use it, log into your myJH homepage at https://my.johnshopkins.edu and follow the instructions after you click on the JHConnect button along the left side of the screen. Note that not all JHU databases work with JHConnect. ________________________________________________________ Trouble accessing a JHU Libraries resource? Contact a SAIS librarian. JHED questions?
