SAIS Hosted Conference on Contemporary Conflict and Its Management on November 30
This conference on Friday, November 30 celebrated the 25th anniversary of the SAIS Conflict Management Program, addressing the pressing issues surrounding conflicts in Colombia, Israel and Palestine, Iran, North Korea and Sudan as well as conflicts related to the environment. The panel about Sudan featured Steven Morrison, chair of the Africa Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies; Andrew S. Natsios, the president’s special envoy for Sudan; and Stephen Smith, a professor at Duke University's Department of African and African American Studies.
