| | SAIS Hosted Event to Celebrate 125 Years of U.S.-Korea Relations on May 21 The U.S.-Korea Institute at SAIS, KORUS House and the Sejong Society hosted an event, "U.S.-Korea Relations: Celebrating 125 Years of Friendship," on Monday, May 21 featuring remarks by Don Oberdorfer, chairman of the U.S.-Korea Institute at SAIS; Tae-sik Lee, South Korean ambassador to the United States and a SAIS graduate; Carl Gershman, president of the National Endowment for Democracy; and John Endicott, a Korea scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Festivities also included Yang Seung Hee performing songs of friendship on the stringed kayageum.
