Human Resources

The SAIS Office of Human Resources is dedicated to supporting all faculty and staff at SAIS with valuable, innovative, and timely human resource policies, programs, and services.

We seek to partner both faculty and staff to foster inclusively, productivity, equity and fairness, as well as to strengthen SAIS’s ability to attract, develop, and retain a diverse and outstanding workforce, capable of upholding the standards of excellence in our institution.

The Human Resources team is a committed one, striving to provide a supportive environment that leads to the personal satisfaction of employees and intensifies their commitment to the school.  We strive provide high quality training and orientation, self-directed learning and skill development, as well as staff recognition incentives that nurture loyalty, motivation, and morale.

Daily, we are reminded of the need for cross-cultural understanding and appreciation of our diversity.  We make every effort to always meet or surpass the Johns Hopkins University criteria of distinction and quality in all aspects of our work, building community through integrity and mutual respect.

The office provides human resources related services to faculty and staff located on the Washington campus, at the Bologna Center in Italy, and at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center located at Nanjing University in The Peoples’ Republic of China.
