A Curriculum for Complex World

Course Catalog

Curriculum

The M.I.P.P. degree consists of eight non-language courses completed full-time over one year or part-time over two years. Students, in consultation with an academic adviser, design their own plan of study that is both academically rigorous and professionally relevant, as they prepare for the next phase in their career.

Affiliations

M.I.P.P. students may choose to add an affiliation to their degree, which provides an opportunity for students to develop a stronger background in a particular area and directly connect with faculty and students in that area.

Language

Full-time M.I.P.P. students are welcome to add SAIS foreign language courses at no additional charge, however, the courses do not count toward the eight non-language classes required for graduation. All non-native speakers of English must pass an English placement exam.

Non-native English speakers graduating from the M.I.P.P. program in Bologna are required to pass an English proficiency exam.

Economics

The M.I.P.P. degree does not require international economics courses; however, many students choose to affiliate with the International Economics Program or take economic courses to meet their degree requirements.
