Trade and African Development

 
This non-credit course will focus on US policy tools available to assure an expanding US commercial presence in the region. It will discuss the commercial opportunities available to US firms if the appropriate policies are applied. The course will also discuss the policies which the European Union and China are following and how it is both the US and African interest to have a strong US presence. Finally, it will discuss the policy direction that Africa is following as it assumes its rightful place in the global economy.
