Global Energy, Resources and Environment Fundamentals

 
This class will provide an overview on all of the subjects within the Energy, Resources and Environment fields, with a strong emphasis on how interconnected these fields are. Students will emerge from the course with a basic understanding of all of the major issues in these fields as well as an appreciation of the types of policies that have been applied to address a variety of threats in each of these areas. The class will be co-taught by two ERE professors and will utilize numerous guest lecturers. First year ERE students are required to take this course in the Fall semester of their first year in Washington. Bologna ERE students will take the course in the Spring semester of their first year. The fall class will be open ONLY to ERE students. Second year ERE students may take the course either semester. Non-ERE students may only take the course Spring 2012.
