Ethnicity, Identity & Politics in Africa

 
Explores meanings of political identity in contemporary sub-Saharan African politics, their bearings on patterns of ethnicity, class formation, and and gender, and their possible implications for conflict mediation, post-conflict politics, democratization, and weak state strengthening. Explores these issues at levels of theory, policy, empirical patterns and country case studies.
