Surveys the attitudes, beliefs and sentiments that provide the underlying assumptions and rules of the game governing political behavior in Southeast Asia. Addresses topics including the role of Buddhism and Islam, patron-client relations and the rise of modern organizational forms. Limited to 20 students.
