Challenges of North Korea

 
Surveys the challenges North Korea has faced as well as posed to its neighbors. Examines the emergence of Juche as the North's central institution in the historical context of international and internal challenges. Presents an overview of the current economic and political challenges confronting Pyongyang. Analyzes such strategic issues as the North's WMDs, missiles, conventional forces and "military-first" politics.
