Burmese is one of four Southeast Asian languages offered at SAIS. It is offered at levels based on students' needs and demands. For beginning students, Burmese is offered over a two year (four-semester) period of instruction.
Students can study Burmese between their first and second year at the Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute (SEASSI) at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Funding may be available through Southeast Asian Study Program to take an intensive language course in Myanmar.
