Brita Caminitiphoto, Caminiti-Johanson
Coordinator and Lecturer in the Italian Program

Background and Education:
Has taught various levels of Italian and served as Italian Language Program Coordinator at SAIS since 2001; has also taught ESL at SAIS as part of Summer Programs, Philips Andover and the College of Notre Dame; former lecturer at Tufts University and teaching assistant at Harvard University; awarded Outstanding Teaching Award at Harvard; former instructor at Dante Alighieri Society; primary interests are second language acquisition and pedagogy, Italian American literature and Southern Italian dialects; M.A., Italian language, Middlebury College; M.A., Italian literature, The Johns Hopkins University.
