Before coming to the Hopkins-Nanjing Center in 2010, was a visiting professor of economics and finance at the Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University; previously worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in London, as an economic consultant for London Economics and a management consultant for Monitor Group in Cambridge, Mass.; research and teaching interests include applied game theory, business strategy and finance; Ph.D. thesis, Strategic Credibility, investigated how the propensity of politicians to falsely deny involvement in a scandal varies with their popularity; Ph.D., economics, Harvard University
