Ph.D. in Energy Studies, Mines-Paris Tech; Master degrees in energy engineering, energy economics and energy policy from Technical University of Munich, IFP-School Paris, University of Pennsylvania. Member of the high level EU-Russia Gas Advisory Council and of the EU-GCC Clean Energy Network. Member of the Advisory Board of the European Energy Journal. Previously and still occasionally teaches also at Mines Paris-Tech, IFP-School, HEC-Paris, the Florence School of Regulation, the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, the College of Europe; has served as Scientific Director of the Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie.
Author and co-author of numerous papers, studies and books on energy policy and economics. Latest books (co-authored): A New Euro-Mediterranean Energy Roadmap (2013, upcoming); A New Architecture of EU Gas Security of Supply (2012); and EU Energy Innovation Policy Towards 2050 (2012).
