Background and Education
As director of the Grassroots China Initiative, works with local NGOs in China; former associate professor at SAIS and assistant professor at Fordham University; was China staff member at the Social Science Research Council; recipient of fellowships from the Rockefeller Foundation, the John D. and Catherine T.
