SAIS will screen “Solar Mamas,” a documentary about a Jordanian mother of four and her journey to attend a solar engineering program outside of her village. David Jhirad, director of the SAIS Energy, Resources and Environment Program, will provide an introduction to the film and moderate a panel discussion following the screening. Peter Fox-Penner, principal and chairman of The Brattle Group; Warren Evans, senior adviser at the World Bank’s Sustainable Development Network; and Mona Eldaief, filmmaker of “Solar Mamas,” will participate on the panel.
