Aminta Arrington B’98, ’98 is author of Home Is a Roof Over a Pig: An American Family’s Journey in China (Overlook Press, July 2012). Arrington hopes to understand the country with its long civilization, ancient philosophy and complex language so that her daughter Grace regains some of the culture she lost while growing up in America.

Feroz Hassan Khan ’91, a 30-year professional in the Pakistani Army who played a senior role formulating and advocating Pakistan's security policy on nuclear and conventional arms control, tells the compelling story of how and why Pakistan's government, scientists, and military, persevered in the face of a wide array of obstacles to acquire nuclear weapons, in his new book, Eating Grass: The Making of the Pakistani Bomb (Stanford University Press, 2012).
