This section of the website includes Case Studies, country-specific studies that analyze cases of conflict through each the conceptual lenses of the five pillars of the Approaches section - Conflict Prevention, Peacekeeping, Peacemaking, Peacebuilding and Statebuilding. For those who might be insterested in contributing a case study to the site, guidelines for writing a case study can be found in the Case Studies section, under the "Write A Case Study" link. This section of the Toolkit also presents conceptual studies that span all five Conflict Management pillars. The concepts covered may be of particular contemporary relevance, such as Humanitarian Aid, or have been the subject of debate and scrutiny in recent years, such as Safe Havens and Partition theory. Alternatively, they may be an issue that is rapidly developing in the scholarship and practice of conflict management, such as Evaluation and Assessment of Conflict Management. All of the topics merit examination in greater depth: all present challenges to carrying out the different theoretical approaches discussed here, and more importantly, they represent real problems for the practice of conflict management today.
