The Center for Canadian Studies | Overview

The Center for Canadian Studies was established in 1960 as the only graduate teaching and research institution in the United States concentrating on Canadian affairs.

The center offers courses on Canadian government and politics, history, economics, defense, foreign policy and U.S.-Canadian relations. A course on Quebec society and politics taught by leading Quebecois scholars is offered every other year.

Its interdisciplinary program is an integral part of the SAIS curriculum, and its students are degree candidates. The center offers fellowhips to qualified students.
