Effective Presentation Skills & Public Speaking Techniques

Course Description
This course teaches students how to structure and deliver a presentation. It will involve active student participation throughout and aim to build both skills and confidence. Course participants will be required to give a presentation (~5 minutes) and will have multiple other opportunities to work on their presentation skills. Among the topics covered in the course are: creating an initial good impression, using visual aids effectively, structuring a presentation, handling difficult questions, and dealing with nerves. In addition, the highly interactive nature of the course means that students can focus on specific areas they wish to improve upon.
