- Course Description
This course will provide students with a basic understanding of what consultants do and how they do it. Using case studies and in-class exercises, it will give participants an opportunity to learn and practice core consulting skills such as planning an assignment, defining and analyzing a problem, coming up with practical recommendations, and convincing clients to take action. It will also include an overview of the consulting industry, consulting models, structured approaches to problem solving, and ethics related to the field. This course is recommended not only for students interested in the management consulting field but also those interested in the skills and analysis techniques used in consulting firms.
