Best Practices in Editing: Preparing Writing for Publication

Course Description
This course explores the various stages of the editing process, from content to copy editing, and is designed to help editors as well as writers. The class will focus predominantly on the big picture, such as how to correct organizational problems and identify what's missing in an argument, but it will also deal with technical matters like grammar, style and editing for clarity. Students will come away from the course with a stronger ability to edit their own work and the work of others.
