The Online Principles of Economics course examines the government’s role in the creation of an ideal environment for the proper function of the private market, and how government can improve outcomes when conditions are less than optimal.

Through interactive and communicative language activities in and beyond the classroom, students are given the opportunity to build, develop, and enhance their Persian skills.

Placement exams are offered every semester before the beginning of language classes, and students are eligible to take a proficiency exam if they have completed the fourth semester of language instruction at SAIS.

The Portuguese Language Program offers courses at all levels, from Novice through Advanced levels. The program follows a communicative, content-based approach to language learning.

Pre-Term is a full-time program that provides the opportunity for incoming students to get a jump-start on their study of economics, quantitative reasoning, or English. Students can re-acclimate to the academic world while meeting fellow classmates, deans, and recent alumni during informal events.
