Career

In addition to the personal benefits available as Johns Hopkins SAIS alumni, there are many professional career-oriented opportunities that will enable you to leverage your professional footprint.

Connect With Fellow Alumni

Find fellow alumni by employer, class year or geographic region with Johns Hopkins Connect an alumni database and career-networking tool. Because this website is dependent on voluntary participation, please encourage fellow alumni to sign up. A few quick tips to help you succeed during your first login attempt:

  1. Make sure you use the email address at which you receive all updates. That is the email address we have on file for you, and the one that will help you access JHU Connect.
  2. If you are unable to verify your account using any of the options provided, email alumni@jhu.edu or call 1.800.JHU.JHU1 (1.800.548.5481)

Career Resources for Alumni

Job Search Resources & SAISWorks: For alumni making a career transition or needing to assess their career options, registering on SAISWorks, our online career management system, will expand your resources and services by providing the following:

Jobs Database: Gain access to a variety of jobs, for both mid- and advanced-level candidates at some of Johns Hopkins SAIS's top employers; this also includes the ability to set up search agents that automatically e-mail a user-defined list of opportunities.

Skills Courses: Career Services offers online skills courses in Accounting, Finance, IT for Management, Quantitative Methods and Spreadsheet Modeling, which are open to alumni. For more information, please contact Martina Leinz at mleinz@jhu.edu. We also offer a variety of skills courses on the Washington campus for current students. As space is limited, these courses are typically not open to alumni.

Career Development Events: Career Services and Career Clubs host a variety of career-related events throughout the year. For more information on upcoming events open to all alumni, view our calendar.

Event and Programming RSVPs: Some events are open to all alumni, some special events are RSVP only. Alumni must be registered on SAISWorks to attend. Many events are for students only and if so, will be noted in the event description.

Counseling Meeting: Alumni are welcome to schedule a meeting with a counselor to review your job-search strategy, update your resume, or obtain contacts at employers of interest; additional follow up meetings can also be planned if recommended by the counselor. Please make sure you have a current resume and profile in SAISWorks before you schedule a meeting. Meetings are also available via phone or Skype.
