Congratulations on your acceptance to SAIS! The Office of Alumni Relations is proud to welcome you to the community and we want to give you an opportunity to meet with alumni who stay connected through SAIS clubs in key locations and evolving groups worldwide. Our alumni hold positions of leadership in government, business, journalism, non-profit and multilateral sectors and can offer insights on how their student experience benefitted them after completing their degrees.     Having most recently served as the Director of the Office of Egypt and the Levant inthe Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (2007 to 2008) and next as Deputy Coordinator forPrograms and Policy in the Secretary's Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism(early 2008 to August 2011), Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley S'84 was appointed U.S.ambassador to Malta by U.S. President Barack Obamaon October 17,2011.

  5. Path to Becoming a Fortune 500 CEOSAIS Alumnus Named Ambassador to the Tunisian Republic

    DirecTV's CEO Michael White S'76, after graduating from Johns Hopkins' School of Advanced International Studies, worked at Andersen Consulting and then spent five years at Bain. Having most recently served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, responsible for U.S. relations with Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and the Palestinians, Jacob Walles S'81 was named nominee for the Ambassador to the Tunisian Republic by U.S. President Barrack Obama in December 2011.

    SAIS Alumnus and Bermudian Art Historian Publishes the First Two Volumes of His Art History TriologyJonathan Land EvansB'85, S'86joins the ranks of inspired artists like Winslow Homer and Georgia O'Keefe as a Bermuda art historian with his recent publishing of the first two volumes of his art history trilogy “Bermuda in Painted Representation: A Survey Of How (And By Whom) Bermuda has been Depicted In Art."
