As graduates of SAIS you are part of a preeminent global network. Our goal is to help you stay connected with each other and with the School. The challenge facing the Alumni Relations Office is to adapt to the many changing needs within the alumni community while, at the same time, continuing to support your ongoing professional development and strengthening your connections with one another and SAIS. We encourage you to participate in the alumni chapter programs! Alumni chapters are a key part of our outreach. Talented volunteer leadership and calendars filled with interesting and innovative programs make it possible for all our alumni to network around the world. Alumni programs run the gamut from simple "social" get-togethers to programs that might include a SAIS faculty lecturer. Some events might include JHU alumni or even alumni and faculty from other schools. Chapters can be as active or innovative as the membership desires - it is up to you! If you live in an area that does not have a chapter, the Alumni Relations office is happy to help you start one. Whether you have a group of two or three interested alumni or many, we would encourage you to become connected! If you are interested in establishing a U.S. or non-European alumni chapter, please email saisalum@jhu.edu. If you would like to establish a European chapter, please contact Margaret Frondorf. JHU Alumni Association
The Alumni Association of Johns Hopkins promotes the welfare of Johns Hopkins University by broadening and sustaining friendships among its alumni, and stimulating alumni interest in the University through a host of events, programs and services. Membership to this global network provides numerous benefits including e-mail forwarding for a @jhu.edu account, information on travel programs, access to affinity programs and discount pricing on Alumni Chapter Events and much, much more. JHU Alumni Council The Alumni Council is the governing body of the Alumni Association. The Council was established in 1989 and consists of approximately 150 members reflecting the divisional and domestic geographic distribution of the alumni. The full Council meets once a year to establish policy, reacquaint members with the University and its programs, and advise the University on alumni affairs. Working together in regional and divisional chapters and on the Alumni Council, alumni continue to enrich the lives of Johns Hopkins students, faculty, and other graduates, while furthering the mission of the University. SAIS welcomes your participation.
