Joint Degree Programs | M.A.–J.D. Program (SAIS/Stanford)

A four-year joint-degree program between Stanford University Law School and SAIS combines the study of law with international affairs, economics and area studies. Students may take advantage of the exceptional opportunities offered at Stanford and SAIS and the two different professional environments of Palo Alto/San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Students spend two and one-half years at Stanford and one and one-half years at SAIS. The first year is normally spent at Stanford with the SAIS portion of the joint degree completed in between the years at Stanford.

Stanford requires all students to submit the results of the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). Applicants are requested to take the LSAT no later than the December test date.
