Pongsiri Vorapongse Pongsiri Vorapongse is a second-year M.A. student at SAIS, where he concentrates in Southeast Asia Studies. A Thai national, Pongsiri received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Thammas at University, Bangkok, in 2006. He previously worked as an analyst for the Bank of Thailand where his work focused on financial service liberalization negotiations. He came to SAIS in Fall 2007 and spent the past summer as a visiting fellow at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Jakarta, Indonesia, researching India’s economic relations with Southeast Asia. Pongsiri plans to return to Thailand upon his graduation at SAIS to work for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
